8x10 area rugs
8′ × 10′ is the most popular area rug size in the US. It fits most living rooms with a sofa and two chairs, sits under a queen bed with room on each side, and covers a dining table for four to six. Designer rugs are sized in slightly different cuts, so this page also includes 7′10″ × 9′10″ and 7′9″ × 9′9″ rugs that work in the same spaces. Measure your room first: an 8′ × 10′ suits rooms about 11′ × 13′ and up, leaving a border of bare floor.
