5x8 area rugs
A 5′ × 8′ rug suits smaller living rooms, apartments, home offices and the space beside a bed. In a living room it works best in front of a sofa, with the furniture arranged around it rather than on it; under a bed, it fits a twin or full placed crosswise. Designer rugs come in slightly different cuts, so this page also includes 5′ × 7′, 5′3″ × 7′3″ and similar sizes that fill the same spaces. Measure first: a 5′ × 8′ suits a room of roughly 7′ × 10′ and up, leaving a border of bare floor.
